“I consider the Greater Bay Area as the most market-driven region in China, where the quality and sophistication of consumption are advancing the fastest. Over the next ten to fifteen years there is still huge headroom for the scale, caliber and premium level of GBA's consumption.”

Wang Haifeng, Researcher of the Institute for International Economic Research at the National Development and Reform Commission told SFC journalist during the 4th China (Macao) High-quality Consumption Exhibition & Hengqin Global Bay Areas Forum, which kicked off on September 5.

He emphasized that in the Chinese economic structure, services account for a relatively low share. Raising the service-consumption ratio is where the future room, momentum and kinetic energy all lie.
